It all begins with a little mouse who used his will to drive a steamboat through our hearts.
Animation was born and this pivotal character now lives within us all.
From an old lady's house,
To the sewers below,
Her house was infested,
With rodents ya know.
The books that he read,
The time that he spent,
The shows that he watched,
To the kitchen he went.
Little by little,
Petit à petit,
He stirs a big spoon,
With his four furry feet.
If they find out,
“It’s gonna be hot”,
He’s making the soup,
“In a big silver pot”.
A hat hides a secret,
You better not mention,
No one approves,
Of a rat in the kitchen.
“Here we go in the sauce”,
Some salt and some flour,
The dish is delish,
The critic devours.
“Zoot alors”,
The soup is so gouda,
The line is so long,
To taste all the food-ah.
And now they found out,
What is this- “Sacré Bleu”,
Not just a mouse,
A French Ratattoo!
The people aren’t happy,
A real epidemy,
The chef that they loved,
It’s the cooking of Remy.
