It’s the instant satisfaction and sweet emotion when you’ve found somebody to love. The day you blew the doors off of your first car, driving down the highway to hell and then founded your bad reputation with the local p.d. When you were caught smoking in the boys room by your teacher teacher, and the only excuse you had was because it dr. feelsgood. During the final game on that beautiful day when your team won in overtime, and the stadium cheered because we are the champions. When time was on your side and you could rock n roll all night to the song on the other side of the tape that would take you 7 minutes to find. That time you were so involved rocking in the free world to realize the people laughing in the car next to you. The time you couldn’t stop pointing at all the old people dancing in the streets. When you and your best friend had the bright idea to break free and run away so you were no longer under pressure to eat your green beans. When your parents scream and shout at your older sibling to turn down for what and remind you of the meaning of cool. When you are the lead singer in the shower and begin to plan the next karaoke revolution. Those times when you found the girl next door simply irresistible and you wanted to buy her a gift but you had money for nothing. When you wanted to ask her to dance but all you could feel inside was a burning ring of fire.
These are the experiences that transport us to the awkward times of our youth, the triumphant moments celebrated, and the misguided dreams that led us astray but shaped who we became. It flamed our rebellious spirits and consoled our broken hearts when we crashed and burned. Each of these legends have left a mark on our history and will continue to influence future generations to come. Music is what makes the rockin world go round!
